April 14, 15 Around Syracuse

The fort on the tip of the island (Frederick II) started 632 A.D.

how long has it been since we mentioned food? We ate fish or seafood EVERY night in Siciliy.

The city's freshwater well that has Papyrus growing in it, the mythical birthplace of the Greek colony

March 24 - April 7

Our cottage home "Pietra Serica" ( in Pioppi, Campania - South of Salerno)

We have seen all kinds of weather, sunny, warm days, fires in the fireplace on cool evenings - even the rain is beautiful!

March 29

After 5 days at the cottage, we drove for 90 minutes North to the Salerno then up the Amalfi Coast

March 24 the Drive to cottage in Pioppi / stop in Paestum

Carcioffi ( articokes on the way south to Paestum and 2 weeks on Campania coast)

The largest and most complete Greek temple in Europe 450 B.C. (temple to Neptune, Paestum)

Off to Venezia for three days to do crits with B.U. painters and see the city.
